The Nike Air Max 95 Freddy Krueger is a Halloween 2020 release that references one of Hollywoods most villainous characters, Freddy Krueger. Krueger, who appeared memorablyor infamouslyin the film A Nightmare on Elm Street in 1984, has been a source of inspiration for Nike in the past, most notably on the unreleased SB Dunk Low from the mid-2000s. Here, the Air Max 95s signature wavy overlays are cast in an alternating red and brown canvas material reminiscent of Freddys famous knit sweater. Brown mesh detailing can be found around the eyelets beneath the white nylon lace holders. The grey suede overlay found on the toe along with the Metallic Silver accents on the tongue salute Kruegers razor gloves. A split white and brown Air Max emblem is stitched onto black and white plaid tongue. A red and silver motif on the heel suggests a malevolent vibe.
