Abrasion resistant panels withstand friction from repetitive movements
The 20th anniversary of the Nike Air Max 97, the Christian Tresser-designed shoe inspired by Japans high-speed Bullet train, brings back the classic in some familiar colorways. That includes this stunning 2017 retro of the Metallic Gold colorway. The upper is constructed with a combination of leather and mesh, both of which appear in gold. Reflective 3M detailing adds another dynamic to the look. The precious metal inspiration is complemented by black accents on the outsole, inner lining, heel tab, and tongue. Hints of red also appear on Swooshes seen on the lateral and medial sides of the shoe, as well as the tongue.
